15 years ago, I stumbled upon a mod that was in progress while researching tools to make mods of my own. They happened to be looking for a voice actor for the NPC who would guide the player through the game. On a whim, I submitted a voice sample was was selected to provide the voice of Dr. Ratchet.

Over the course of the next several months, the scope of the game would expand and I'd provide about 10x more voice lines than originally anticipated. I was given the choice to rename the character, and went with Dr. Romero (simultaneously an homage to both father of the zombie file George A. Romero and DooM co-creator John Romero). I wound up doing voices for the SWAT team as well, making me the actor for every single male role in the game. I improvised and re-wrote so many lines that I actually given co-writing credits.

To date, it's still the best game project I've ever had the pleasure of being part of.

Early this year, I learned that my old team at We Create Stuff would be re-releasing the game on Steam for the first time, and are also working on a reimagined version of the game.

Well, it's almost here! The mod is releasing day after tomorrow, Monday October 28th!
